Vogelzang Law Forms Relationship with Willis Law

As the Vogelzang Law team continues to grow, the firm is proud to announce its new partnership with Willis Law, a full service law firm based in Kalamazoo, Michigan. This emerging relationship marks an exciting development for both firms as they work to best represent and serve clients throughout the Midwest. With the start of this new opportunity, both firms will offer their knowledge and assistance to the families they represent. As Vogelzang Law begins to serve more families in West Michigan, this relationship gives the law firm a chance to get more involved in the community.

“We are extremely excited to be partnering with the Willis Law firm to help grow our West Michigan presence. Michael and Shaun have a long standing reputation as great lawyers in the community and we are proud to be working with them to better service our Michigan cases,” said Lead Counsel Nicholas Vogelzang of Vogelzang Law.

As one of the fastest growing law firms in Michigan, Willis Law proudly represents a wide variety of cases, guiding clients through multiple types of litigation with care. Among other things, the law firm works in personal injury, estate planning, child custody and family law, criminal defense, and sports agent law. Founded in 2004 by brothers Michael J. Willis and Shaun Patrick Willis, the firm has always had strong roots in the state. The two are sons of the former Chief Judge of Van Buren County Court, the Honorable Frank D. Willis, and have always had a respect for legal service to the community. As a family owned and operated law firm, Willis Law shares many values with the Vogelzang Law team. The emerging relationship offers both teams the opportunity to make sure their clients are properly resourced. Vogelzang Law is proud to be able to offer its clients the assistance of Willis Law in areas such as estate planning and asset protection.

“Willis Law is excited about its new partnership with Vogelzang Law, and the opportunities it presents to better serve our clients in Michigan and Illinois. The partnership with Vogelzang Law allows our firm to expand its practice to serve the many persons in Michigan in need of excellent representation in mesothelioma and asbestos cases,” said Michael J. Willis, Managing Partner at Willis Law.

The firm has offices spanning the state in Kalamazoo, Paw Paw, and Grand Rapids, and truly values community outreach and involvement. Through their volunteer work, pro bono work, and more, Willis Law demonstrates the compassion, empathy, and commitment important to the work that each team pursues. One of their projects, the Corporal Christopher Kelly Willis Foundation, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit foundation established in 2004. The Willis Foundation honors Col. Christopher Kelly Willis, brother, friend, and Marine, and funds college scholarships for the children of military personnel who have been killed or permanently disabled in a combat zone. With such similar family and community values, Vogelzang Law and Willis Law are excited to work together in order to best represent and give back to clients in Illinois and Michigan. In 2018, Vogelzang Law became licensed in Michigan, giving its team the chance to serve communities in West Michigan and establish a local presence in Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids.

“Nicholas Vogelzang and his lawyers and other professionals employ aggressive, top-tier representation to their clients, which mirrors our firm’s approach to litigation matters. The partnership also allows us to better represent clients in Chicago and throughout Illinois with estate planning, estate and trust administration matters, personal injury and wrongful death and in a variety of other practices. This is a partnership of two firms at the top of the class, and our respective clients will enjoy multiple benefits as a result,” Willis said.

Both Vogelzang Law and Willis Law share a devotion to meeting the needs of their clients. One of the most important aspects of meeting that need is providing medical, financial, and emotional resources. This new partnership will allow both firms to offer assistance to each other and for the clients being served. Willis Law will offer their services to Vogelzang Law clients in need of guidance regarding estate planning and asset protection. These are common challenges that families face during the legal process, and Vogelzang Law is proud to offer a connection to a law firm that shares values and dedication to its clients. Both firms will team up to make sure that all clients and families have all the support they need throughout the process, easing them through a challenging time in their lives.

The partnership also offers a unique opportunity for both firms to reach new communities. Vogelzang Law, which has historic family history and ties to Michigan, will now have more chances to work with communities in the state and provide resources to families affected by mesothelioma.
