The Third Annual Mesothelioma Race for Justice Raises $12,600 for Mesothelioma Research and Treatment

The third annual Mesothelioma Race for Justice took place virtually this year during September. More than 100 racers across the nation participated in the annual 5K, and together we raised $12,600 which will be donated to the Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation!

“It feels absolutely amazing to have been a part of this race for its third year and to still, in a virtual setting, have raised $12,600 for the Meso Foundation,” says Madelynne Drescher, Vogelzang Law public relations associate. “It goes to show the generosity and resilience of our community and our participants.”

The Meso Foundation, the only nonprofit charity organization dedicated to finding a mesothelioma cure, has been the benefiting charity of the MRFJ 5K every year since the race began. By funding research to improve treatment options, providing treatment support and education for patients and advocating for federal funding for research, the Meso Foundation continues its unwavering commitment to serving those affected by mesothelioma.

Participants were given a signature long-sleeve MRFJ 5K shirt and medal. We would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who sent in photos and videos in their MRFJ race day gear!

We are grateful to our sponsors, donors and participants who made this race possible. We look forward to every opportunity to support those affected by mesothelioma, and we know our race participants do too. We are looking ahead to next year’s race, and we can’t wait to make it an even greater success!

“I am incredibly excited about next year’s race and the potential it holds,” says Drescher. “I’m looking forward to next year’s MRFJ being hosted both virtually and in-person to engage our local participants and those from around the country.”
