Vogelzang Law Lead Counsel Nicholas Vogelzang Authors an Online Article for Building Indiana Business

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

February 5, 2021

CHICAGO – Vogelzang Law Lead Counsel, Nicholas Vogelzang, authored an online article titled “A Threat to You and Your Business” for Building Indiana. Building Indiana is the largest statewide business-to-business magazine in Indiana, reaching 60,000 readers six times a year. In each issue, the award-winning publication chronicles business and economic development throughout the state, covering topics as diverse as construction, tourism, real estate, finance, human resources, business management strategies and much more.

The article highlights the dangers of asbestos exposure, how employees are often exposed to asbestos and how employees who have developed mesothelioma or lung cancer due to asbestos exposure can seek financial compensation.

“If you’ve got a long career in construction or the trades, chances are you’ve been exposed to asbestos. Now you face two potential threats: life-threatening diseases like mesothelioma and potential liabilities for your business,” said Vogelzang.

Prolonged asbestos exposure typically leads to two primary illnesses, mesothelioma and lung cancer. The prognosis for mesothelioma victims is often grim, given the lengthy latency between 20 to 50 years. Although the dangers of asbestos are widely recognized, the United States government has not banned the toxic substance.

“Financial compensation from bankruptcy trusts from now defunct asbestos companies are also available to help compensate a victim and his family,” said Vogelzang. “While this can never make a person or their family whole, compensation can go a long way in helping defray medical costs and other financial hardships.”

Vogelzang Law represents and advocates for individuals who have been diagnosed with cancer as a result of asbestos exposure. With over 20 years of experience in mesothelioma and asbestos litigation, Vogelzang Law attorneys have the specialized knowledge and resources needed to litigate complicated cases and the compassion to advocate wholeheartedly for each client.
