Christian Luciano Santiago joined Vogelzang Law in June 2021. He is new to the firm but is a seasoned lawyer with extensive experience drafting pleadings and motions, conducting and defending depositions, and preparing expert witnesses for trial. Christian is passionate about his clients and proud of his work, defending devastated families against ruthless corporations that exposed them to asbestos.
Before joining the Vogelzang Law team, Christian sharpened his skills as an associate attorney at a prominent litigation defense firm representing physicians, nurses, professional corporations, and hospitals. Additionally, he worked at a well-known Chicago plaintiff’s personal injury firm on cases involving nursing homes and medical malpractice litigation.
Working for U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D. New York) inspired Christian to become a lawyer. He saw firsthand the impact she made as an attorney, drafting bills and policies that became law. He had the opportunity to observe and collaborate with attorneys and legislative aids on the Affordable Care Act.
Christian graduated from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law with a certificate in trial advocacy. During law school, he participated in multiple national trial advocacy competitions, was a member of the Trial Advocacy and Center for Dispute Resolution Honors Board, and was named to the Dean’s list.
Outside the office, Christian volunteers for local organizations and gives back to the community. Family and community keep him going while Christian has a full docket, he enjoys spending time with his dog, cooking for friends and family, bowling, playing volleyball, and traveling with his fiancé.
Christian brings a new perspective to each trial, seeing each case’s medical and legal sides. Over his career, he has an impressive record, taking cases from start to finish with outstanding results. Some of his verdicts and settlements include:
