Lorrette Fisher joined the Vogelzang Law litigation team in 2026. Her instinct, grasp of the law, and quick thinking make her an asset to the firm’s litigation team.
Lorrette’s undergraduate studies in urban studies were completed at Vassar College, where she excelled not only as a student but also served on numerous committees. She graduated cum laude from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law, where she received the Scholar in Law Award, a merit-based full-tuition scholarship. She made the Dean’s List and was awarded the Equal Justice Works Dean’s Service Award for Exceptional Service in the Public Interest.
During her time as a lawyer, Lorrette has been named a NY Super Lawyer® Rising Star® from 2021-2024. She was listed as a National Black Lawyers “Top 100” Lawyers in New York in 2023. Lorrette’s motivation as a lawyer comes from her desire to help people and to ensure that all clients receive the representation they deserve. Her compassion, understanding, and ability to get to the core of the matter continue to enhance her client service.
Lorrette draws inspiration from her family. They may be far-flung, but their dedication to each other and the love and support they give are indispensable. Her deep-seated family values make her a true advocate for her clients and team.
Outside the office, Lorrette loves spending time with her family, laughing and enjoying each other’s company. She is known to host a game night, where Bananagrams and Code Names are often in the rotation, as well as a fantastic dinner party or a casual gathering to catch up. She also enjoys playing tennis and visiting the wonderful museums and culture that Chicagoland has to offer.
