Michael Maienza joined Vogelzang Law in 2017, focusing his practice on mesothelioma litigation. He comes to the legal profession laser-focused on client advocacy to serve as a voice for those who are ignored or silenced.
Mike has seen great success in his trial and litigation career and isn’t content to settle a case to move it along but focuses on making his client whole. He relishes the opportunity to hold companies accountable for their negligence. His most recent victory comes as first chair in O’Reilly vs U.S. Steel, securing a verdict in excess of $7,000,000.
Mike earned his B.B.A. in Marketing from the University of Iowa Tippie College of Business and was a Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity member. He then received his Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law, where he honed his legal skills, serving as a judicial extern under the Hon. Michael T. Mullen in the Circuit Court of Cook County. While at DePaul, Mike competed in Minneapolis and Cincinnati as a member of the Appellate Moot Court Society.
Mike also prioritizes opportunities to give back to the community. During law school, he volunteered with the Domestic Violence Legal Clinic and the Legal Aid Society, ultimately earning his 711 license, which allowed him to work directly with clients on the Domestic Violence team.
Outside the office, Mike enjoys all that Chicago has to offer, golfing, and traveling. He also enjoys the spectacular food scene, frequenting old favorites and new restaurants.
