Skyler Hughes started with Vogelzang Law as a law clerk, joining the firm as an associate in the fall of 2022. His grasp of the law and quick thinking make him an asset to the firm’s litigation team.
Skyler studied political science as an undergraduate at the University of Notre Dame, graduating cum laude. He continued his legal education and received his J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, graduating magna cum laude.
During law school, Skyler was the Executive Editor of Loyola Law Journal’s online content and a Senior Editor of the Loyola Consumer Law Review. He furthered his knowledge by serving as an extern for Justice Steven David of the Indiana Supreme Court.
Before law school and during his first year, Skyler was a disaster case manager at a community nonprofit in Houston, Texas. Their mission was to connect people impacted by Hurricane Harvey with resources such as home repair, rehousing, property replacement, and employment assistance. This experience reinforced his desire to be a voice and an advocate for society’s most marginalized. Being an attorney allows him to work closely with and fight for clients whose lives have been upended.
Skyler is a skilled litigator with an eye on his client’s health and well-being. During his time with Vogelzang Law, he has accumulated an impressive record, advocating for his clients and their families. Some of his verdicts and settlements include:
Foundry Worker | Mesothelioma
