Fall was in the air, but the day couldn’t have been more perfect. We welcomed union members, valued sponsors, VL teammates, friends, family, and colleagues to Oak Park Country Club in River Grove, IL, for the 4th Annual Vogelzang Law Charity Golf Outing. The golf outing supports the cancer community, donating funds to further research, awareness, and education. This year we proudly partnered with the Meso Foundation, raising $11,719.
“It is truly my honor to host the golf outing on behalf of the firm to raise money for an organization that I have seen firsthand help so many families suffering from mesothelioma,” says Mirela Kopier, Vogelzang Law’s Director of PR and the charity golf outing director.
Over the past nine years, Vogelzang Law has raised and donated over $120,000 to the Meso Foundation, an organization we proudly support and partner with. The Meso Foundation is the nation’s only nonprofit charitable organization focused on mesothelioma. It collaborates with patients and families, physicians, advocates, and researchers dedicated to ending mesothelioma and the suffering caused by this cancer. We both believe the resources exist to find a cure, especially given the human toll, the legal, moral, and economic impact and implications of asbestos, and the overwhelming compassion and support of the meso community. The Meso Foundation’s mission is to offer hope and support to patients and families through education, assistance, and emotional support while funding national research projects, raising awareness, and advocating for the public and private sectors to join the fight against this global tragedy.
“Being a part of planning this golf outing was such a pleasure. It is incredibly rewarding knowing we are raising money for such an important cause,” said Isabella Grosso, Vogelzang Law’s PR associate.
This year, we warmly welcomed union members, health professionals, special client and visitor, Don Placko, and other VL family and friends. We loved seeing familiar faces and were overjoyed to meet new ones.
The VL Charity Golf Outing would not have been possible without our sponsors and partners; their continued generosity and support made the entire outing possible. We also thank our VL team for volunteering before, during, and after the event. It’s the perfect time to enjoy the gorgeous fall weather and the outstanding food and drink from Oak Park’s talented staff.
